Eraj Basseri MD

Dr. Eraj Basseri is a general surgeon who specializes in Hyperhidrosis.  He is the co-founder of K and B Surgical Center and Medical Director of The Center for Hyperhidrosis. Dr. Basseri works closely with his partner Dr. Rafael Reisfeld to bring to life a unique and comprehensive approach to hyperhidrosis surgery. He specializes in palmar (hands) and plantar (feet) hyperhidrosis and performs both the Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy and the Endoscopic Lumbar Sympathectomy.  Dr. Basseri is fiercely committed to providing patients the best and most individualized medical care possible. His friendly, easygoing approach and personal warmth put patients at ease the moment they meet him and allows patients to better understand and become actively involved in their own medical care.

Dr. Basseri received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from University of California, Los Angeles; and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, San Diego. He completed a coveted fellowship in the Minimally Invasive and Weight Loss Surgery Department at Cedars Sinai. His innate surgical skills were continually singled out during his tenure there and he received the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement award as well as an appointment as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Basseri is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal & Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS). He has published numerous research papers and presented on a number of topics both nationally and internationally.

Matthew H.T. Bui MD PhD
Urology

Dr. Bui specializes in laparoscopic, robotic and minimally invasive urology.  He earned both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Yale School of Medicine in the Medical Scientists Training Program.  Subsequently, Dr. Bui did his urology residency at UCLA where he earned accolades for his scientific research in kidney cancer.

Dr. Bui’s ground breaking work on advanced kidney cancer earned him the first prize and second prize at the American Urological Association Western Section and national conference, respectively, along with best scientific poster at the Society of Urologic Oncology in 2002. After residency, Dr. Bui continued on with a fellowship at UCLA dedicated to laparoscopic, robotic and minimally invasive urology. Dr. Bui joined the faculty at the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale in 2005 as an assistant professor of urology.

Dr. Matthew Bui was born in Saigon, Vietnam in 1968. He and his family barely escaped during the surrender of Vietnam in 1975 and came to the US as refugees. Dr. Bui grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he attended Franklin and Marshall College. He majored in Physics and graduated as valedictorian with Summa Cum Laude.

Beny Charchian MD
Physiatrist

Dr. Beny Charchian is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician (also known as a Physiatrist), with sub-specialty training in Interventional Spine and Pain Management techniques using Fluoroscopy (live X-Ray).  He is part of an elite group of physicians serving the greater Los Angeles area who are double boarded and certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in both his primary specialty and the subspecialty of Pain Medicine.  He specializes in non-surgical approaches to treating a wide array of spine and joint disorders, including the treatment of acute and chronic low back pain, neck pain, failed back surgery syndrome, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, spinal stenosis, whiplash syndrome, muscle spasms, and arthritis of the knee, hip, shoulder, and hand.

Following completion of a Masters Degree in Applied Physiology at the Finch University of Health Sciences and a Medical Degree at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science/The Chicago Medical School, Dr. Charchian returned to his alma mater to complete residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UCLA. His academic achievement and leadership skills earned him the title of Chief Resident in his final year. He then pursued advanced training in pain management and non-surgical spine techniques including epidural injections, facet joint injections, spinal cord stimulator, and radiofrequency ablation at the prestigious ACGME-accredited UCLA PM&R Pain Medicine Fellowship.

With an established role in academic medicine and the advancement of medical care through the education of future generations, Dr. Charchian has served as a clinical instructor to medical students at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Western University of Health Sciences and Adjunct Clinical Professor at Touro University. Steve C. Chen MD FACS FAAP
Pediatric Surgeon

Dr. Chen has dedicated much of his expertise to the area of minimally invasive surgery for children and is recognized throughout the greater Los Angeles medical community for his laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgical skills.

Dr. Chen is the Medical Director of the Beverly Hills Pediatric Surgery and the Pectus Surgical Institute. He holds an academic appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles.  Prior to establishing his private practice, he served as the Director of the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center until 2010. Recognized for his contribution to pediatric surgical care at Cedars-Sinai, he was honored as the inaugural holder of the Walter and Shirley Wang Endowed Chair in Pediatric Surgery in 2003. Dr. Chen is a passionate surgical educator who is actively engaged in the teaching of medical students and surgical and pediatric residents. In 2009 he was honored with the Golden Apple Teaching award at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Chen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biophysics/Medical Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California. He completed three surgical residencies including General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Chopra earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at the University of California, Irvine; both a Masters in Medical Sciences and his Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine (where he graduated Cum Laude); Dr. Chopra did residency in General Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Christine Collins MD

Dr. Christine Collins is an attending physician  at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center  and has been in private practice since 1996.   She graduated from USC School of Medicine and did her residency training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.  During medical school, Dr. Collins won the prestigious ARCS (Achievement Reward for College Scientists) Scholarship and graduated as a Dean’s Scholar. During her training, Dr. Dhillon-Levine traveled to Can Tho, Vietnam with the International Extremity Project, a nonprofit medical mission focused on treating underprivileged children with severe debilitating orthopedic lower leg deformities.  During the mission, she and a team of other renowned Orthopedic and Foot & Ankle Surgeons, performed complex reconstructive surgeries and performed hundreds of patient screenings that had life changing implications for many young children.

Dr. Dhillon-Levine’s practice is committed to ensuring each patient receives the best treatment modalities through evidence based medicine.  During her residency, she worked with various medical specialties, including plastic surgery, vascular surgery, infectious disease, dermatology and orthopedic trauma departments and incorporates all facets of medicine to her daily practice.  She continues to stay at the forefront of medical advances.

Pedram J. Enayati MD
Gastroenterology

Dr. Pedram Enayati has done extensive research on GI disorders, liver diseases, as well as liver/kidney transplantation.  He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of gastroenterology to K and B Surgical Center.  He is the author of numerous journal articles and abstracts, and has presented on a variety of topics both nationally and internationally. Dr. Enayati is also the recipient of numerous awards, including Solomon Research Honors; Rubenstein Research Honors; and Excellence in Research award given by the Western Medical Research Committee. He is a member of American Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy; American Gastroenterology Association; American College of Physicians; American Society of Internal Medicine; California Medical Association; and American Medical Students Association. Dr. Enayati has certifications from The American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Enayati earned his undergraduate at University of California, Los Angeles where he was Phi Beta Kappa, majoring in neuroscience, and then went on to earn his medical degree at the university’s medical school. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Matthew Enna MD

Dr. Enna has unique experience in advanced techniques in arthroscopic, hand, and trauma surgery. In 2011, he became one of a select few physicians in California to achieve subspecialty certification in both hand surgery and sports medicine.

Dr. Matthew J. Enna was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. An interest in both the humanities and pre-medical education led him to Washington University in Saint Louis, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature in 1997. He spent his senior year of college at Oxford University, where he studied Shakespeare, Dickens and Leonardo da Vinci. He matriculated at Tulane University School of Medicine in 1997. Upon graduating from Tulane in 2001, he moved to Providence, Rhode Island, where he performed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Brown University. After completing his residency in 2006, he performed a one-year fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at Brown. During his training at Brown, he was an assistant team physician for the Brown University varsity football, hockey and lacrosse teams, and for the Providence Bruins hockey team. He has lived in eight states and three countries, and he has traveled throughout Europe and the United States. His favorite locations are Italy and Southern California. Thus, after completing his trauma fellowship, he undertook a hand and microsurgery fellowship at UCLA, with the hope of establishing his orthopaedic career in Southern California.

After completing his fellowship at UCLA in 2008, he accepted a position at Sansum Clinic, in Santa Barbara where he gained his valuable experience in advanced techniques in arthroscopic, hand, and trauma surgery. Dan Geller, MD
Podiatric Surgeon

A native of NYC, Dr. Dan Geller is a Board Certified, surgically-trained foot and ankle surgeon focusing on sports injuries, post-traumatic reconstruction, and chronic conditions of the foot and ankle.  Dr. Geller earned his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.  Following his medical school training, he completed three years of residency training at St. Luke’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, with an emphasis in foot and ankle surgery, reconstruction, trauma, joint replacement, stress fractures and sports medicine/injuries.

Post residency, Dr. Geller returned to NYC and went into private practice where he built a client base that included many professional athletes and dancers.  During his ten years in NYC, he worked closely with the NYC Ballet, and became the team podiatrist for many of New York’s premier running, cycling and triathlon teams.

The practice is committed to excellence in treating patients, both surgically and non-surgically, for the entire range of foot and ankle injuries and disorders by offering the most innovative treatments.

Dr. Geller continues to lecture, publish articles and work as a television consultant for various networks.  He is coming out with a book for running injuries later this year.

In his free time, Dr. Geller continues to run marathons and compete in Ironman triathlons.
