Plastic surgery is a medical specialty focused on the correction or restoration of form and function of an area of the body. There are different types of plastic surgery.

Reconstructive plastic surgery is performed on abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. It is generally performed to improve functions, but may also be done to approximate a normal appearance.

Pretty WomanCosmetic surgery, also called aesthetic plastic surgery or medical aesthetics, refers to the surgical and non-surgical procedures designed to enhance a person’s appearance and self-esteem. Healthy individuals who have a positive outlook and realistic expectations for what can and cannot be achieved through cosmetic surgery are the best candidates.

It’s important to keep in mind that plastic surgery Is a personal choice and should done for oneself — not to fulfill someone else’s desires to try to fit an ideal image of what is beautiful or acceptable. An open discussion with a K and B plastic surgeon will help you clarify goals and manage your expectations.

Building a foundation of trust by treating our patients as special individuals is vital to our success. We understand how uneasy some patients may feel about cosmetic surgery, and how we can make a difference in providing a life changing and emotionally positive experience. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with excellent, personalized care and service to make your consultation and surgery as comfortable, pleasant and rewarding as possible.

Josef Hadeed, M.D.On his road to private practice in Beverly Hills, CA, Dr. Hadeed has tapped his professional and academic experiences to help him structure a life-long dream of building a warm, friendly, and inviting place where patients can feel safe and empowered to collaborate on their most intimate aesthetic and reconstructive goals.

As evidenced by his reviews, patients immediately feel comfortable with Dr. Hadeed. As a double board certified plastic surgeon educated at some of the finest institutions in the world, patients know they are safe and well-looked after in his attentive and expert care. But more importantly, his warmth, humanity and sense of humor are what ultimately attract patients most. Dr. Hadeed wants everyone to feel at home and at ease to discuss even the most private of matters.

Dr. Hadeed attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies, and then went on to Temple University School of Medicine.  From there, he went on to complete a total of 10 years of surgical training.  He first completed a full residency in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Camden, one of the busiest trauma centers in the country.  He also completed a research fellowship at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research during his general surgery training, which led to numerous publications and presentations at both national and international meetings.  Afterwards, he went to the University of Miami where he received fellowship training in hand surgery and microsurgery at one of the top trauma centers in the country.  Following this, he completed a rigorous plastic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, which is consistently ranked annually as one of the top 10 hospitals in the country.  During his time at Duke, Dr. Hadeed was trained by several world renowned plastic surgeons, performing highly complex reconstructive procedures in addition to aesthetic surgery.hadeed

Dr. Hadeed loves Southern California and admires the lifestyle people are able to carve out for themselves here. Every plastic surgeon develops a “true love” for a specific type of surgery — even when they are experienced enough to do it all. For Dr. Hadeed, procedures of the body are his “true love” and give him the most personal gratification. Perhaps it’s this love that has drawn him to Beverly Hills. California supports an active, outdoor lifestyle in a warm climate. This, coupled with an “image-forward” mentality leaves little margin for error when it comes to a man or woman’s physique and how they appear in and out of clothing. Whether it’s a minor adjustment to an already well-formed figure, or a more comprehensive procedure after massive weight loss, Dr. Hadeed looks forward to building his patients confidence through procedures including Liposuction, Tummy Tuck, Body Lift, Breast Surgery, Facial and Hand Rejuvenation, and Fat Transfer.

Dr. Hadeed’s vision for his practice is that of a comprehensive aesthetic center, where patients can partner with a dedicated team to address all their cosmetic needs. As such, he has developed expertise and proprietary techniques in all areas of aesthetic medicine, including procedures to address the breast and the aging face, hands and skin. This philosophy allows patients to develop a rapport, a set of unique expectations AND a central place for all their beauty & wellness needs under one familiar roof.

Tiffany Grunwald, M.D.

A board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Grunwald, has been helping patients achieve their desired aesthetic since opening her Santa Monica private practice in 2007. Regarded worldwide as a specialist in both cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, Dr. Grunwald has worked extensively with breast cancer survivors to restore their natural breast shape following mastectomy.

After college, Dr. Grunwald had the unique opportunity to travel as part of a surgical team to Central and South America to perform pediatric open heart surgery. There, she realized the profound difference that a surgical intervention can make, and decided to become a surgeon.grunwald

She was drawn to plastic surgery because of the close relationship that develops between doctor and patient, and her role in analyzing and solving problems that directly impact individuals. That approach continues to guide her work as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. By taking the time to get to know each of her patients, Dr. Grunwald determines their aesthetic and goals, and tailors a solution specifically to their needs, opting for a nonsurgical approach whenever possible. No two patients are alike, so no two patients should receive the same breast or face.

Dr. Grunwald earned her bachelors degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before attending the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, where she was awarded top recognition for her clinical skills among her entire class. After earning her M.D., Dr. Grunwald completed competitive residencies in general surgery, plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery at the Keck School of Medicine. While working as a clinical instructor at the school, she earned her Master of Education from USC’s Rossier School of Education. Dr. Grunwald received extensive training in facial rejuvenation through Dr. Gareth Wootton, one of her mentors and a leader in this technique.

Dr. Grunwald opened her private practice in 2007. She and her small staff remain dedicated to deeply personalized care for her plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery and facial rejuvenation patients. They pride themselves in developing long-term relationships with their patients, acting as a resource even after an individual’s recovery is complete. Dr. Grunwald is also the Division Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Providence Saint John’s Health Center.
